Why do people buy Fake Uggs?

No, i'm not talking about other sheepskin boots that look similar to uggs, such as the ones in costco or target. I'm asking why do people buy the knock offs that have the ugg label but are fake? Are they just trying to have the brand name? i don't understand why they are saying "oh because its so much cheaper." Just get the boots at target then, sheesh. It seems in my point of view, they just want to have the brand name, and they don't want to get the real thing.
