Actually, Mrs Dubose represents the theme of "courage". She wanted to die unbeholden to nothing, so that's why she wanted to break her addiction. Doing that required courage because without the morphine she was always in pain and suffered withdrawals, but she pulled through in the end to die free from her addiction. If you want to talk about pride I'm not sure which woman you can use, but what about Ms Maudie? (:
