How do I isolate my flexicom 30cx boiler to replace a hot water tap.?

can I turn off electricity and water supply to the boiler to ensure the boiler does not operate whilst work is being done. Will this upset the boiler when it is turned back on? We have no problems with the boiler at the moment and want to stay that way.
