Whats the deal with Pj's and other pet stores out there?

I went to PJ's yesterday to get my dog an E collar and some toys (its the closest pet store to my house, I usually shop at petsmart because I LOVE how animal friendly they are) anyways, I know The e collars are a bit pricey but I bought a medium size and it came up to 24 dollars!! at petsmart there 11 bucks! There toys are EXTREMELY overpriced. they were trying to sell flat raw hides 5 for 15 bucks or 3 something each. Now i know it should be a crime for pet stores to sell dogs... but let me just say, they had a golden retriever that was 4 months old (was in a cage the same size as the maltese dogs) and they were trying to sell him for over 2000 dollars!! They had a french bulldog for 3thousand something and they were selling an english bulldog for just under 5 grand! That is ABSOLUTELY insane!! Am i the only one who feels this way or are you guys with me? is there ANYTHING we can do to stop this madness!! PLUS the golden looked like it was suffering from malnutr
